Kenyan police has arrested Michael Macharia, popularly known as DJ Brownskin, in connection with the death of his wife, Sharon Njeri, by suicide. This follows a video that went viral showing DJ Brownskin in what appeared to be him recording his wife taking poison.
The DJ was arrested at a club in Kasarani as officers investigate him for aiding suicide, according to Section 225 (c) of the Penal Code, which states that, “any person who procures another to kill himself, or counsels another to kill himself and thereby induces him to do so; or aids another in killing himself is guilty of a felony and liable to life imprisonment.”
According to Kasarani OCPD, Anthony Mbogo, DJ Brownskin is being held at Kasarani police station after officers obtained an order to detain him pending investigations.
