
The ODM party’s Boyd Were was declared MP-elect after receiving 16,819 votes, while independent candidate Philip Aroko secured second place with 8,476 votes.
Moses Omondi Okoth of ODM was elected as the Ugunja MP in Siaya after receiving 9,447 votes.
In Nyamira, Jackson Mogusu of PDP won the Nyansiongo Ward by-election with 2,759 votes, narrowly outpacing Kevin Maranga of UPA, who collected 2,687 votes.
In Mandera, UDA’s Ahmed Maalim Hassan was elected Banisa MP, having secured 10,431 votes more than UPA’s Nurdin Maalim Mohamed, who got 1,240 votes.
In Machakos County, Antony Kisoi, the Wiper Democratic Front candidate, was declared the winner of the Mumbuni North Ward by-election, securing 3,849 votes and further solidifying the party’s stronghold in the area.
Isabella Leshimpiro of UDA was declared the winner of the Angata Nanyekie Ward by-election with 1,239 votes in Samburu.
Douglas Twala Masikonde of DCP secured a victory in the Narok Town Ward by-election in Narok County, garnering 6,007 votes. Robert Kanyinke Ole Kudate of UDA was defeated by him, having secured 4,479 votes.
Following MCA Lukas Kudate’s death in February, the by-election became a majorly contested and significant political battleground. The UDA party had put forward Kanyinke Ole Kudate, the firstborn son of the late Member of County Assembly, to hold onto the seat.
