In Loving Memory of Pastor Rev. Peter Osano: A guiding Light in Faith and Community

Pastor Rev. Eng. Peter Osano, the leader of Life Source For All Nations in Baltimore, Maryland has died. Pastor Osano departed this life on Monday evening at Shady Grove Hospital in Gaithersburg after a brief illness, leaving a profound legacy rooted in faith, compassion, and community service.

Mr. Daniel Juma Omondi, the Global Peace Foundation Kenya Country Director, expressed his grief, describing Pastor Osano as a “beacon of hope and inspiration” for many. “Throughout his distinguished ministry, Pastor Osano dedicated himself to the teachings of faith and the promotion of unity among diverse communities,” he noted in his message of condolences. ” I had the opportunity to attend Sunday at his church in Maryland together with my friend Pius Odhiambo whenever I visited the US and his sermons transcended mere words, offering transformative messages that resonated deeply with his congregation and beyond” said Omondi.

Pastor Osano is survived by his beloved wife, Dr. Anne Osano of Bowie State University, and their children: Teddy Osano in Australia, and Nick and Mercy Osano, both residing in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He was also a devoted grandfather to Myra, Kiana, Nicole, and Ochieng, who will carry forth his spirit of love and kindness.

A respected figure within the Kenyan community, Pastor Osano’s influence extended far and wide. His unwavering commitment to spiritual guidance and community empowerment touched countless lives, making him not just a pastor, but a friend and mentor to many.

Born with a calling to serve, Pastor Osano dedicated his life to ministry. He served as the Lead Pastor of Life Source Church for All Nations in Baltimore since July 12, 2009, after previously holding the position of Director of Church Ministries at Rockville Church of God for four years. His journey to the United States began in April 2009, after serving for 12 years in various roles, including as a Deacon Board member with Christ is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) in Nairobi, Kenya.

In 1998, Pastor Osano and his wife felt a divine calling to serve in a foreign land. After waiting for over a year, the Lord opened the door through Pastor Osano’s profession as a Satellite Communications Engineer, leading him to an opportunity with INTELSAT in Washington, D.C. On April 8, 2000, they were sent out as missionaries during a heartfelt prayer at Nairobi Pentecostal Church Valley Road.

Upon arriving in the U.S., the Osano family was welcomed into a Rockville church, where their potential was quickly recognized. This support opened doors for ministerial training, ultimately leading both Pastor Peter and Dr. Anne Osano to become ordained ministers. During his time at Rockville Church of God, Pastor Osano was actively involved in various ministries.

Pastor Osano was also nominated to serve on the National Executive Board of the Kenya Christian Fellowship in America (KCFA) as the Director for Men’s Department, where he played a pivotal role in launching the department for the first time. He served diligently for ten years, following two years as Vice Chairman of the KCFA DC Chapter.

Mr. Pius Odhiambo who founded KISWAhili TEkelezi ( KISWATE) USA chapter under the guidance of the late pastor Engineer Peter Osano and his wife Dr. Anne Osano of LifeSource Church for All Nations has mourned the loss of this extraordinary leader. “We also celebrate the indelible mark he has left on the hearts of those who knew him. His life was a testament to the power of faith and the importance of community, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.” Said Pius
