I am being fought, says DP Rigathi Gachagua

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has said that some leaders who were used to fight former president Uhuru Kenyatta are being used to fight him.

Speaking in Muranga county during the burial of businessman Gerald Gikonyo, Gachagua said that he will not bow to pressure.

He said the Mt Kenya region will not fight one another.

He said that the Mt Kenya region will continue supporting and respecting their leaders.

“In past years, you saw how our youths and people were used to fight former president Uhuru Kenyatta and the same people are now being used to fight me, “Gachagua said.

He noted that the Mt Kenya region will continue working together no matter the situation.

“We will continue working together for unity and growth and nothing will ever divide us, “Gachagua said

He noted that he is rallying behind President William Ruto.

In the recent past, the DP has been seen to be at loggerheads with his boss, President William Ruto, and a section of youthful Mt Kenya leaders in Majority leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichungwa, and Kiharu member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro.
