Former VP Moody Awori is alive and kicking, his family has confirmed. Moody, 94, was Kenya’s 9th Vice President and is associated with Prison Reforms.
This follows rumours which were doing rounds on social media claiming he was no more.
Moody Awori served Kenya as a member of parliament, assistant minister, minister and vice president. Popularly known as Uncle Moody, Moody Aworri was born in 1928. He served as the 9th vice president of Kenya from September 25, 2003, to January 9, 2008, following the passing on of politician Kijana Wamalwa. He was first elected as a member of parliament for Funyula constituency in the then Busia district in 1984.
