
Former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i jetted back to the country on Saturday night after a two week family trip to the United Kingdom.
Matiangi’s trip to the UK had raised controversy with speculation that he was fleeing based on the recent police raid in his house and subsequent summons from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
The embattled ex-CS landed at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 10:00 pm aboard KLM Flight 0566 and is is expected to present himself to the DCI headquarters on Monday at 11:00 am.
Matiang’i is under probe by the DCI, questioning him over the alleged police raid at his house in February with Senior Superintendent of Police Michael Sang giving a summons to appear at the DCI headquarters over the alleged police raid at his residence.
