Dan Maanzo: Ruto Paid Supporters During Makueni Tour

Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo has said that Ruto paid people who accompanied him in his yesterday’s tour of Makueni County.

Speaking during a morning TV talk show, Kalonzo Musyoka’s die hard revealed that the huge group that milled next to President William Ruto were ferried from other parts of Kenya, and not any other organic following that a person if President’s stature should enjoy during his visit to any part of the country.

“Those who were shouting TuTam during Ruto’s rally in Makueni County yesterday were not locals. The ground was visibly hostile to Ruto, and therefore he had hire people from other parts of the country to cheer him up and shout TuTam chants,” said Maanzo.

Maanzo is a member of Wiper party, under the leadership of Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, who is the de facto leader of Ukambani region, and has dominated Ukambani politics for nearly 2 decades now.

Kalonzo is equally being seen as the potential Ruto opponent in the next general election of 2027.

Ruto is in a four-day tour of Ukambani region, and today the President will be heading to Kitui County, where he is expected to launch development projects.
