The climax bus was on Monday afternoon involved in a serious road accident at Awasi along Nairobi-Kisumu Highway next to Cummings Hotel.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Nyanzadaily reporters on the ground, several victims with injuries were rushed to Awasi Mission Hospital and Ahero Sub-County Hospital for treatment.
No report of loss of life was reported by the time of this publication. It is also not clear what caused this accident although some eyewitnesses alleged to our reporters that the vehicle which was on a high speed veered off the road after the driver lost direction.
After the incident, those who survived the incident were left stranded as the Climax bus was badly damaged and could not ferry the passengers to their various destinations.
In the meantime, the good Samaritans arrived and provided various assistance such as first aid to those who did not make it to the hospital immediately.
