Former Energy Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Monica Juma who is also the National Security Advisor to President Ruto has been appointed Secretary of the National Security Council.
Through a gazette notice dated March 9th 2023, Head of Public Service Felix Koskei announced the new appointments to the NSC. “It is notified for the general information of the public that the National Security Council has appointed Monica K. Juma to be the Secretary of the National Security Council,” said Felix Koskei.
At the same time, Koskei announced the appointment of Former Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet as the Deputy National Security Advisor. Koskei confirmed that Boinnet will serve in the role beginning March 6th
“It is notified for the general information of the public that the National Security Council has appointed Joseph Boinnet to be the Deputy National Security Advisor,” read the gazette notice.
