The Public Service Commission (PSC) proudly announces 1,000 paid internship opportunities designed for graduates eager to enhance their practical skills and knowledge while contributing to virtual learning and digital education platforms within the Ministry of Education.
These positions fall under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP) Cohort 5, managed by the State Department for Basic Education.
As detailed in the notice published in the September 15, 2026, edition of MyGov newspaper, successful candidates will receive appointments and be deployed to schools at the Sub-county level. In this role, interns will not only gain valuable hands-on experience but also play a vital part in fostering virtual learning and supporting related digital platforms.
To be eligible, applicants must have graduated no earlier than 2022 and possess one of the following qualifications: a bachelor’s degree in education with an ICT specialization, a bachelor’s degree in ICT, or a diploma in ICT or ICT integration in education from an accredited institution.
The internship spans 12 months and is non-renewable, with a stipend determined by the government.
Additional Requirements:
– Possess knowledge in networking and infrastructure, applications development, information security, and project management.
– Demonstrate the ability to integrate ICT with education, particularly in e-Learning and content development.
– Exhibit the requisite skills for conducting research and innovation to support the Digital Literacy Programme.
– Be open to deployment at any Sub-county Education office on a full-time basis.
– Have not previously participated in a similar program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Assist in e-Learning and content development in alignment with the established schemes of work.
– Provide classroom support and training for Primary School teachers in the use of digital literacy devices.
– Support the implementation of the Digital Learning Programme.
– Drive innovations that enhance the use of digital learning in schools.
– Promote safe, secure, and ethical technology use in educational settings.
– Aid teachers in integrating ICT into teaching, learning, and assessment processes.
– Collaborate with staff on the development and production of essential school policies and procedures.
– Offer first-line support and maintenance for ICT services in schools.
