Deputy President Kithure Kindiki tells off Gachagua over incitement

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has spoken out against the recent heckling of leaders during a visit by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua in Embu.

This incident, which saw the crowd disrupt a burial ceremony to protest against the President’s speech, has raised concerns about rising discontent among the populace.

Kindiki, who attended a church service in Kimumu, Mbeere North, on Sunday, took the opportunity to address the situation directly. He accused Gachagua of inciting division among Kenyans and urged him to refrain from dragging personal issues into public forums. “I have given him all the respect, but he must also respect me,” Kindiki stated firmly.

The Deputy President criticized Gachagua for exacerbating tensions without providing constructive solutions to the grievances voiced by the people. “A true leader listens to the concerns of the public and addresses them. Complaining without action only breeds anger and frustration,” he asserted.

Kindiki additionally cautioned fellow politicians against escalating political tensions through personal attacks, labeling such behavior as detrimental to good leadership. He expressed the need for unity and collaboration among leaders to tackle the pressing issues facing the nation.

In response to some critics questioning his recent low profile, Kindiki dismissed these concerns as distractions. “Watch this space. We know what Kenyans expect, and we’re focused on solving the real issues,” he concluded, emphasizing his commitment to addressing the needs of the citizens.
