A lecturer at Bomet University is in custody at the Bomet Central Police Station, accused of holding a 17-year-old girl hostage for three days and defiling her.
According to police reports, the suspect lured the victim to his home in Bomet town, where the alleged assault took place.

“We have sufficient evidence to take him to court. We are optimistic he has a case to answer, and the law will take its course. A person of his caliber should be a role model for youths,” Omar remarked.
