Raila Odinga attends Kabarak University graduation

Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga participated in the 20th Graduation Ceremony of Kabarak University, celebrating the largest graduating class in the institution’s history with 2,541 graduands.

Established in 2002 by the late second President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, Kabarak University is located in Nakuru County, approximately 20 km from Nakuru town.

Joining Odinga were former Rongai MP Raymond Moi and Kanu chairman Gideon Moi, the university’s Chancellor. Raila, fresh from his campaign for the African Union Commission chairperson, congratulated the Class of 2024, acknowledging their hard-earned achievements.

In his remarks, he praised Chancellor Gideon Moi and the university’s leadership for their commitment to growth, solid infrastructure, and world-class degree programs. He urged the graduates to embrace their education and prepare to face the challenges of today’s world.

Odinga emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for young people, encouraging them to demand an environment conducive to honest living and family stability. “You have the best insurance for our nation’s future,” he stated, calling on graduates to work towards a better Kenya.

As the ceremony concluded, Odinga inspired the new graduates to go forth and make a positive impact on their country, saying, “Now go out and change Kenya for the better forever!”
