Nairobi, Kenya – Kileleshwa Ward Representative, Robert Alai, has officially announced the launch of the KileVibes talent competition, a major initiative aimed at discovering and empowering the ward’s creative youth. The program seeks to spotlight the next generation of content creators, actors, musicians, and other artists residing in the constituency.
To be eligible, applicants must be registered voters within Kileleshwa Ward and must not have exceeded 35 years of age. The competition underscores a commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and providing a platform for artistic expression beyond traditional pathways.
The prize package is substantial, designed to significantly boost the winners’ creative journeys. The top contestant will walk away with Ksh 500,000. The first and second runners-up will be awarded Ksh 250,000 and Ksh 100,000 respectively. Additionally, the organizers will award smartphones and cameras to other inspiring creators identified during the event, ensuring wider support for digital content creation.
In his announcement, MCA Alai highlighted the importance of diverse role models and career aspirations for the youth. “We are coming to see the creative minds of Kileleshwa. It is crucial to remember that not every young person wants to be a footballer. Some also aspire to be global digital creators and entertainers,” he stated, in an apparent nod to international internet personalities like iShowSpeed. “Donge?” he added, inviting engagement.
The call is now out for all eligible, creative youth in Kileleshwa to prepare and showcase their unique skills. KileVibes promises to be a vibrant celebration of local artistry and innovation.
