Business Summit equips young entrepreneurs with digital marketing skills

The Global Peace Foundation Kenya Country Director, Mr. Daniel Juma, has urged entrepreneurs and business owners to harness technology and artificial intelligence to amplify their business impact.

Speaking on January 11, 2025, Mr. Juma, who is also the founder of the digital platform BuyKenya.org, emphasized that the youth have a unique opportunity to leverage social media and AI for success in their ventures, rather than using these platforms for negative activism.

The training, themed “Marketing Blueprint for Businesses: Building a Strong Online Presence for Your Business,” was organized by social media marketing strategist Janet Karuana. It attracted over 120 participants, including entrepreneurs, social media influencers, business leaders, and marketers, at The Mark Hotel in Ruiru Town.

The comprehensive session focused on demystifying the algorithms of popular social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Janet Karuana shared actionable strategies aimed at helping businesses improve their visibility, engage audiences, and achieve meaningful results in today’s fast-paced digital landscape.

Mr. Juma commended the initiative, underscoring the pivotal role social media plays in contemporary business operations. “The future of businesses lies in the effective use of social media. This is where innovation, communication, and opportunities converge. I encourage everyone to embrace these platforms and utilize them strategically,” he stated.

The summit also featured motivational speaker and author Benny Hinn Walubengo, a global speech trainer, who delivered an inspiring session on personal growth and aligning business offerings with customer needs. He highlighted essential elements such as personality, mindset, exposure, and vision, urging participants to tailor their strategies to meet the specific demands of their audiences.

This event underscored the growing importance of equipping businesses with digital skills to thrive in an increasingly competitive market. It reflected a shared commitment among Kenyan business leaders to foster collaboration and innovation.
