Gachagua says Raila petition was filed to give officials time to steal

The Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said Azimio La Umoja’s Supreme Court case was filed with the intention of giving the government officials time to siphon money from government coffers.

He added that Raila Odinga and the Azimio brigade knew they had lost the election but was only a delaying tactic to let them steal public money.

“Hiyo kesi walijua hakuna mahali inaenda, ilikuwa kesi imewekwa ndio wapore mali waende. Saa ile waliona uchaguzi imeharibika walibeba na magunia. To allow them room wakati ya Supreme Court inaskiza kesi waibe pesa ya Kenya.” Said the Deputy President.

Speaking during a church service in Roysambu Nairobi, Gachagua said more than Sh24 billion was looted between the time IEBC announced Ruto as President and the day he was sworn in.

The Deputy President promised to name the Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries who stole Kshs. 24 billion shillings from the government in the last three months of the previous administration. “In the next few days, I will be releasing details of billions of shillings looted from the public coffers in the last three months of the last administration. I will announce the ministers and the PSs responsible so that Kenyans can know,” he said.
