The embattled Migori Governor Okoth Obado was the talk of town yesterday following his decision to issue instructions to Migori residents not to wear facemasks.
Addressing the media on Wednesday 9th September, without donning a mask, Obado declared that Corona had ended in Migori and that it was now time for residents to move on with their lives as usual. According to the governor, God has been merciful enough to Migori people and that there was no need to continue putting on face masks.
“Even me I think I contracted Coronavirus sometimes in February and it just ended without me noticing or even using a single medicine.” Obado said and added that he believes that the Virus might have affected so many people since it broke out in March and that our God given immunity has been of great help.
He went ahead to justify President Magufuli’s earlier decision to belittle Corona despite castigating the Tanzanian President. Watch Obado’s statement below.
