The President of the United States of America Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump have tested positive for Covid-19.
Through his official twitter handle, Mr. Trump announced that they had tested positive of Coronavirus last night. As a result, they are expected to immediately begin their 14 day quarantine and the recovery process. Since the pandemic broke out, President Trump has come under sharp criticism from the Democrats accusing him of handling the virus casually. At some point, the President did not put on face masks until late last month when he decided to lead by example.
The issue of Coronavirus arose during the first American Presidential debate on the 29th September 2020 with his opponent Mr. Joe Bidden blaming him for the many cases in the United States. According to Bidden, president Trump took too long to impose protective measures that could have protected Americans from the pandemic.
