The other day Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe hinted that as Mount Kenya they would support Raila Amollo Odinga come 2022.
It is now emerging that these remarks have not gone so well with some politicians allied to the tangatanga wing with some alleging that the race should be viewed as a two horse race between Hon. Raila and Hon. Ruto and not as a one horse race favoring the ODM leader.They believe that both the two leaders stand a fair chance depending on their past track records.
On his part, Mutahi Ngunyi alleged that Murathe has no position or power to speak on behalf of Mount Kenya region since at no point was he appointed to spearhead the wishes of the community.
“We the people of Mount Kenya have never appointed Murathe as our spokesman.His views about Raila succeedding Uhuru as President are his own.I am Sure ev`en his wife, neghbours and in-laws think otherwise.” He said.
