KUSO president Antony Manyara has called for nationwide demonstration in all public universities to stop the senates from implementing fee increment.
According to Manyara an attemp to increase fees by even one shilling is tantamount to inciting violence.
Late last mounth the courts declared the initial plans by universities to increase fees as unconstitutional, in the new proposal undergraduate students would pay Ksh.57,000 up from Ksh. 28,500.
Sources indicate that University of Nairobi is already implementing the changes.
According to the Kenya Universityband colleges Chair who is also the chair Youth advocasy fee increment will block students from poor background hence making education only for a few.
