President Uhuru Kenyatta Extends Covid19 Protocols

President Uhuru Kenyatta on 2nd January 2020 issued an executive order extending some of the containment measures to ensure that the eco-system around the reopening of schools remains manageable, constant and safeguard the health of Kenyan children.

In his executive order, the president noted that where else the national positivity rate continues to decline, the Covid-19 pandemic remains a threat to our health and to our livelihoods.

The following are the features of the extended protocols by President Uhuru Kenyatta in his Executive Order;

✓10pm to 4am curfew extended to March 12th 2021
✓Overnight events remain prohibited
✓public events, gatherings remain suspended
✓Teachers above 58yrs or with pre existing conditions to teach remotely or hold classes in open places
✓Non essential visits to schools by parents, guardians prohibited
✓Funerals/burials to have a maximum of 150people
✓extra curriculum activities suspended
✓passengers in private and public vehicles to wear masks.
