Residents of Got Rawalo village in Gem Sub County in Siaya are a worry lot after a middle aged man hacked his uncle to death over land tussle. The man identified by his neighbors as Ford allegedly prunned some trees in his 50-years- old uncle’s compound, triggering harsh a argument between the two.
The argument according to the neighbours escalated until a village elder was called in to arbitrate. However a few minutes later while the deceased was escorting the village elder, the latter’s nephew emerged from a nearby maize plantation and started hacking his uncle before he disappeared.
According to the confirmation given by the area Assistant Chief David Otieno Wasao, the 50-years- old succumbed to the injuries at the crime scene and his body was taken to the mortuary as the police launched the search for the suspect who is still on the run.
